Blaine’s hands are shaking as he dials his brother’s number, even though he knows this is honestly the dumbest thing in the world to be nervous about. Cooper adores Kurt, and not just because he makes Blaine happy. AN: Well this is it, all 13,329 words of it. I hope everybody is satisfied with how it turned out and that it was word the long wait. There was a good 3,000 words more of this chapter that I ended up cutting out because of length so I’ll be posting Klaine’s extended sex scene later on this week or early next week for those of you that are interested.

After eighteen hours on a plane and a two hour layover in Toronto, Kurt couldn’t have been more relieved to be finally touching down in Shanghai. As much as he loved Blaine, it was a toss up if he was more excited to see his boyfriend or to lie down in a real bed. The bed might win out. Despite their early wakeup to get to the airport in time, he’d been unable to sleep on the first plane because the flight was so short and he was squeezed in between the window and an overweight man that would not stop yelling at the flight attendant for one thing or another. By the second flight, Mr. Anderson had offered him the aisle so that he could have a bit more space, but there had been a lot of turbulence and with the lights constantly being turned off to simulate the time zone in Shanghai then back on again for meals and snacks every two hours, he’d been unable to sleep.

Kurt skirts around a table of chattering cheerleaders to make his way to where Rachel is sitting alone, sipping her coffee and pursing her lips impatiently.
“Sorry,” Kurt says with a labored sigh, gesturing around the packed cafe. “We’re busy.”
Rachel hums and takes another sip of her latte, legs crossed and one eyebrow cocked. “So are you ready to leave?” she says, setting down her drink and smoothing her jacket primly. “We’re going to miss the movie if we don’t leave soon.”
“Yeah, just…” Kurt sighs at the sound of his boss calling for him to refill the cups while a baby starts crying on the other side of the room. He still hasn’t quite gotten used to the rush of the weekend crowd and he’s starting to feel flustered when Rachel suddenly grabs his wrist, staring past him through wide eyes.
“Kurt,” she hisses, squeezing his wrist almost painfully tight as she looks back up at him. “That guy over there is staring at you.”

It’s a surprisingly refreshing experience, being around just girls for a change. They’re fascinatingly, almost intimidatingly gossipy and chatty and excitable, even more so now than they usually are at school. Blaine supposes he should feel honored that he’s been invited for what Tina explained was a strictly “girls-only” sleepover to celebrate their Regionals win, but she’d begged them to make an exception – them being Kitty, the self-proclaimed coordinator of this sleepover – on the grounds that Blaine wasn’t like “most boys”. He had felt a tad insulted by that potentially veiled jibe at his masculinity, but let it slide when Tina continued by saying how he was “sweet and thoughtful”.
“So uh… Mr Hummel, sir, uh, ugh, um… sir, Burt, I mean, not Sir Burt, um…” Blaine scratches at the back of his neck and Burt drops the hood of the car he’d been working on so he can stand up straight and fix Blaine with a hard stare. “Mr— Burt.”
“Kid…”
“Shit.”
They get a slow start, because fuck Coachella, sleeping in and hand jobs, but, eventually, they get there, wandering around some VIP something or other looking for one of Will’s friends and finding Mia and Darren instead.
He’s sitting on her lap, zoning out at she pets her fingers through his hair. It’s nothing Chris hasn’t seen before, but usually it waits until it’s been a much harder and much longer day.
“He okay?” Chris asks, by way of hello.
Darren slits his eyes open for a moment and hums, and Mia laughs.
“I’ll take that as a yes then,” Chris says.
“Slow morning,” Mia says.
“Niiiiiice morning,” Darren says.
Mia gives a sharp tug to one of his curls and Chris snorts.
“Wow, way more information than I needed,” Will says holding up his hands, but he’s sort of lying. He thinks they’re hilarious.
“Hush,” Mia says to him. “You’re not the only boy around here who likes to be bent over things.”
“Okay, waaaaay too early for this,” Chris replies. Unlike Will, he’s totally not lying.

“Hey,” Blaine says, and Kurt hums in response, eyes glued to the television. “Want to head to bed soon?”
“Mm, sure,” Kurt mumbles, but Blaine knows his husband’s not really paying attention. He rolls his eyes, sliding his hand across Kurt’s stomach, over his t-shirt.
“It’s been a while since we’ve gone to bed early. A long while,” Blaine says pointedly, lips brushing Kurt’s jaw as he moves his hand lower, until it’s resting over the waistband of Kurt’s pajama pants. Kurt’s gaze never falters, but Blaine isn’t particularly offended. Kurt’s been like this about TV since they were teenagers - they both take their reality television watching very seriously, and it’s part of what Blaine loves about living with Kurt.
But it’s been days since they’ve had time to just be together, alone, no interruptions, and Blaine’s not about to let the moment slip away.
Future Klaine; Blaine and Kurt had a fight and Blaine had to sleep in the guest room. Elizabeth overheard everything and feels sorry for her dads.”I’ll stay here and cuddle you all day and refuse to move. Dad will have to take you back.”
”Sounds like a plan.”“Daddy, wake up.”
Blaine grumbled and lifted his head from the pillow, finding his daughter perched on the edge of the bed and staring at him.
“Why are you sleeping in the guest room?” Elizabeth asked.
Blaine tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes, he never slept well when he wasn’t with Kurt. “Your dad isn’t very happy with me.”
“How long is he going to make you sleep in here?” Elizabeth seemed concerned.
“A while, I think,” Blaine mumbled, falling back against the pillow. Maybe he should sleep for another hour.
Elizabeth pulled back the covers and crawled in with her daddy. Blaine smiled and pulled his daughter into his arms, pressing a kiss to her wild red curls.
“Daddy, are you and dad getting a divorce?” Elizabeth’s voice was small and worried.
“What?” Blaine was suddenly fully awake, and pulled back so he could see his daughter. “No, sweetie, why would you think that?”
“I heard you both fighting last night,” Elizabeth said, frowning. “It was really loud.”
“Oh, sweetie…” Blaine shuffled around on the bed until he and his daughter were sharing a pillow, and he could look her in the eye. “Your dad and I got in a fight over something really stupid. But we love each other very much, we’re not going to let one silly fight ruin our family.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m more than sure.” Blaine smiled. “Your dad is the love of my life. The two of you are my whole world; I never want to lose either of you. OK, sweetie?”
“OK, Daddy.” Elizabeth smiled, closed her eyes and snuggled back in with Blaine.
“I’m still the love of your life? Even if I’m ‘selfish and delusional?’”
Blaine winced and looked over his shoulder at his husband in the doorway. He was relieved to see that Kurt didn’t look angry, actually he was smiling warmly.
“Yes. Do you still love me?” Blaine asked. “Even if I’m ‘a jealous - insert word I don’t want to repeat in front of our daughter?’”
Kurt grinned and crossed the room, climbing to the bed behind Blaine. He draped his arm across both Blaine and Elizabeth, pressing a kiss to the back of Blaine’s neck.
“Yes.”
